FAQs

Answers to common questions about Sound Zero’s acoustic consultancy, soundproofing, studio design, acoustic products and commercial installation work.

What does Sound Zero do?

Sound Zero is a London acoustic consultancy and design-build company. We design and install acoustic solutions for offices, studios, podcast rooms, performance venues and commercial interiors where sound quality matters.

Where does Sound Zero work?

Sound Zero is based in London at BloQs, 2 Anthony Way, London N18 3QT. Most projects are in London and the surrounding region, with selected commercial, studio and performance projects delivered across the UK.

What is the difference between acoustic treatment and soundproofing?

Acoustic treatment improves how sound behaves inside a room by controlling echo, reverberation and speech clarity. Soundproofing reduces sound transfer between spaces. Many offices, studios and venues need a measured combination of both.

Can Sound Zero help with office acoustics?

Yes. Sound Zero designs acoustic solutions for open-plan offices, meeting rooms, breakout areas and collaborative spaces. The work can include acoustic surveys, treatment design, product specification and installation.

Do you design and build podcast or music studios?

Yes. Sound Zero designs and builds podcast studios, recording rooms, music studios and production spaces. Projects can include isolation, room acoustics, acoustic treatment, finishes and full fit-out.

Can acoustic products be matched to the interior design?

Yes. Acoustic performance does not have to look clinical. Sound Zero works with panels, baffles, rafts, moss walls, PET felt, wood wool and bespoke finishes so the treatment supports the design of the room as well as the sound.

Do you work on commercial and performance spaces?

Yes. Sound Zero works on commercial acoustics for hospitality, retail, education, workplace and leisure settings, as well as performance acoustics for venues where clarity, isolation and room response are critical.

How does an acoustic project usually start?

A project usually starts with a conversation about the space, the noise problem and the intended use. From there, Sound Zero can review plans, survey the room, recommend treatment and design a practical route through specification, supply and installation.

How can I contact Sound Zero?

You can call Sound Zero on 020 3984 2000 or email info@sound-zero.com. The team can advise whether the next step should be a call, a site visit, a design review or a more detailed acoustic proposal.
